5-spice sweet & sour pork chops!

Found some nice frozen pork from Spinneys - the pork for this dish cost about 10dh - so it's very reasonable. Marinated the pork with the spices so that it doesn't have the porky smell. Somehow, the pork here smells different - unlike in Malaysia - not quite used to it.
This dish is really simple to prepare - just slice the pork chops to the desired thickness and then, use the back of a chopper knive to tenderize the meat. Season with salt, pepper, sugar, 5spice powder and some sesame oil for about 6 hours (or overnight). Brown it over a pan and remove. Caramelize brown sugar and put back the meat into the pan. Add rice vinegar and coat the meat till well coated with the caramel and vinegar.

Garnish and serve (you can add a bit of lemon juice). Think you can replace pork with chicken (will have to try this next time).
