We celebrated the occasion at a restaurant at Century Village, called "Sarband", serving persian cuisine. Apparently, this restaurant had been awarded the "Best Iranian Restaurant in Dubai" by 7Days Newspaper (funny, we were one of the very few tables occupied....hmmm)
Nevertheless, we enjoyed the food. This was what we ordered.
(1) Mast Mousir - yoghurt and wild garlic cream, served with arabic bread, bay leaves and mint with feta cheese. The garlic cream was really good (was not overpowering, yet, flavourful).
(2) Volmeh Barg - Stuffed wine leaves filled with rice, meat & herbs. Interesting....first time eating wine leaves.
(3) Lamb Koobideh Kebab - Grilled Minced Lamb on Skewers. This is really fantastic - succulent and well-marinated - wonder how they got the minced meat to stick together and then, placed onto the skewers.

Just in case you thought we were having this "romantic" dinner on our own....no....here are our two "angels" sitting next to us.
