So, what beans? Whatever I could find in the kitchen - I had black beans, red beans and green (moong) beans. I soaked them overnight and then cook together with onions, tomatoes, celery and chicken broth. Added a bit of chilli powder and you get the spicy sauce. I liked it because I have always liked the mexican chilli soup but hubby thought it was "interesting". Verdict? I think this recipe lacked tomato flavour when finally mixed into the pasta - so, next round, have to add more tomato sauce or paste to it to make it richer in taste.

Homemade Spicy 3-Bean Tomato Sauce
Here's an experiment I did for dinner yesterday - wanted to do a chili bean soup, but then, I got lazy because it would mean preparing another dish as the main meal - so I decided to turn this soup into a sauce for spaghetti! So....here you go, spaghetti with homemade spicy 3-bean tomato sauce!
